Visual Dental Assessment

Look at your dog's teeth and gums to assess their dental health. Answer honestly for the most accurate estimate.

📖 Dog Dental Development Stages

  • 0–4 weeks: Deciduous (baby) teeth emerge
  • 3–5 months: Baby teeth fall out, adult teeth come in
  • 6–7 months: All 42 adult teeth should be present
  • 1–2 years: Teeth are white and clean, minimal tartar
  • 3–5 years: Mild tartar buildup, slight yellowing normal
  • 5–7 years: Moderate tartar, gums may show early recession
  • 8+ years: Significant tartar, possible gum disease, tooth wear

80% of dogs over age 3 have some form of periodontal disease. Regular dental care extends lifespan by 1–3 years!
